Alex Burnett is a composer for film, television, theatre and game. He has written music for a variety of media including stage plays, films, corporate videos, dance productions, documentaries and video games. He is also skilled in sound design, editing and mixing.
Alex has a Masters in Composition for Film and Television from the University of Bristol, as well as a Bachelor of Music from Royal Holloway, University of London.
His style ranges from cinematic orchestral writing to atmospheric soundscapes, and often includes a distinct mix of genre-blending, ethnic instrumentation and filmic influence. He has worked with a variety of clients such as Panasonic UK, wildlife organisations ZSL London Zoo and The Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust, as well as award-winning companies like cafe chain Boston Tea Party and designer fashion brand Hemsley London.
Alex's video game work has been featured at the UK's biggest gaming convention EGX accompanying playable demos such as space-based puzzle game Heat Signature. He has also worked on the music and sound design for a number of indie titles such as the Metal Gear remake project and 2D platform adventure Cold Horizon. Currently, he is working with Case In Point Studios on the soundtrack for their strategy game Spy Agency Tycoon.
